Probably depends on which started on the coast of the euro, and where the hell he landed on the American coast.

It depends depends on several things: Century of departure, destination, type of yacht (15. or 19th century), the path he has had and what kind of weather.

Depending on your route. Many ships sailed south of the equator, finally taking advantage of the trade winds. "Direct" Sailing, more or less, from England to the American colonies could take much longer, depending on the wind.
